Al Qaida: patient evil

 While we, as US citizens, can thank President Bush for being able to curtail any further attacks, like that of 9/11, from occurring – the record speaks for itself.  What if we are misjudging the enemy?  What if the enemy, you know, those radical Islamic terrorist?  Perhaps they are far more patient than we imagine.  Think about it, if they were to strike either us or Israel, or some European city the way they did in their 9/11 success what would be the response?  Certainly it would be savage, perhaps more so than our response to the 9/11 attack.  For this reason I think the Al Qaida is waiting patiently for the development of something bigger.  Iran is working as hard as they can to develop a nuclear weapon and delivery system with the intentions of using it.  Al Qaida is patiently waiting for the evil they desire.  The question is, will Iran give Al Qaida a nuclear weapon for their next big thing?  The small assaults that have been interrupted, uncovered or simply failed  are not what they, the Al Qaida dream about.

   This is not to frighten anyone but to keep in mind that evil is in the world and that we may see nuclear war or assaults before the return of our Lord YaHshua.  We may also see earth shaking events, such as we witness in Haiti and before that the tsunami centered in the Indian ocean killing over 200,000 people.  We may see much more evil unfold before we see YaHshua and we need to take care in what we witness and how we apply what we witness. 

  Here is a small sampler of what we have seen in the 20^th century, going into the 21^st century.  World War I and World War II millions perish and it is only the beginning.  We know of the 6,000,000 Jews but what of the other 6,000,000 Christians that stood against the evil and millions more of other ethnic groups murdered for dreams of world domination.  All of this followed by the Communist systems resulting in over 100,000,000 deaths, and that is a conservative figure.  Mao Tse-tung  may be responsible for this number by himself.  Stalin would be a close second being responsible for millions of deaths of his own countrymen.  Of course there is Hitler and his evil gang in their attempt at grabbing world power to build a new world.  Hitler was going to build a new society and construct his a center for world government to which all world leaders would be required to come once a year to pay homage to him as world leader.  If this sound familiar to some it should for we read in Zechariah 14:16-17 a similar scene, except this will be the Savior, YaHshua, when He establishes Jerusalem (YaHu-salem) as the central ruling body of the world.  Was Hitler trying to copy or be the Messiah?  Maybe, but one thing is sure, his inspiration did not come form scripture as the ruling center he wanted to erect would be in Germany, not Jerusalem.  It is no mistake he wanted to destroy the people of the Living God, the Jew, the people of Jerusalem.  No, Hitler’s inspiration most certainly came from Satan himself.  What about Stalin, Mao and other mass murderers?  Humanity can be evil in itself and we cannot blame Satan for everything -- we have a choice and some are evil and do not need incouragement from the king of evil. 

   When the final Hitler type comes, however, and seeks world leadership he will establish himself in the “Seat of Satan” and he will have something Hitler was not given, or at least no fully, and that is the power of Satan.  This will be a big, big move by Satan – to give not only his Seat but his power also to a man, a human.  Imagine, Satan, a totally self-centered spirit being giving  himself up to a human?  This will be a time of pulling out all the stops and it will be terrible.

  Terrible yes but do not forget the terrible that has already happened and still we continue.  Do not misinterpret local events or wars as the end.  We have seen things this past 100 years that could easily be seen as “end-time” events yet we trudge onward.  The end is not yet, but is approaching, of course, and we, as believers, must be ready spiritually.  Read Zechariah again and notice the message is to those that survive and this is very telling.  The times yet to come will be more terrible than we can imagine.  Brace yourself, brace your spirit, your mind, be ready – steal yourself for what is to come.  Hold this truth – if our God does nothing we will all perish.  It is by His patients we continue on, deserved or not, and it is by His love we will endure and it is through His son we will receive life and the reason He will intercede to stop the madness.  This will be the purpose of the Great Quake at the appropriate time to stop what is happening, but that will not be the end, not yet, but the beginning of the end.
