USA in Prophecy?

Greetings friends near and far, from your servant in YaHshua, writing to you from this great nation, the United States of America. We can be proud of the nation, or country we live in but we should always remember, as Believers, bearing the testimony of the Scriptures, the Words of our Savior, that our true Citizenship is in Heaven and our patients is found in our enduring until the Kingdom of our Savior comes to this Earth and our true Citizenship is fully established. This Citizenship will be equal to all saints entering the Kingdom -- race or points of origin will have no bearing on admission -- the single requirement is the acceptance of YaHshua as Savior, having come in the flesh, defeating death on our behalf that we might then be born into the Kingdom as Citizens eternal -- the Kingdom to come, we pray.

With that said, as you know, this is the "servant's corner", and not to be construed as a definitive study. As you know, and as I have stated more than once, much of the written prophetic words -- from the Jewish/Christian Holy Bible -- is to be witnessed by observation and until the time a prophetic event unfolds it may not be fully understood. Not until it happens can we be sure of the fulfillment and then we, as witnesses, will point to the accuracy of the Words of our God and Savior, YaHshua.

Much of prophecy that has not happened yet will not be fully understood until it happens, or after it happens. Daniel (Daniel 8) spoke of a prophectic event no one understood, at the time, until several hundred years after Daniel penned those words, history records their fulfillment, and we now know those words were pointing to Alexander the Great. Historically this prophecy proved to be so accurate the critics would argue Daniel had to have written it after the fact. With the increase in knowledge, however, we now know this is not true -- the critics have to eat their own words as the study of the Middle East and archaeological discoveries have proven Daniel lived long before the events and the fulfillment, found in Alexander the Great was so accurate as to defy all statistical averages for a mere coincidence -- and this is the reason the critics of Daniel, these past few decades, are silent. This is our prime example of how prophecy of the Holy Bible is to be Witnessed (observed) and not fully understood until after it happens. Most teachers of prophecy are guessing, intelligent guessing but guessing all the same.

So, I too will do a little guessing about a subject of interest to anyone living in the USA. The Scriptures I am going to reference have one thing in common, they all seem to refer, in context, to a time in the future to come. I will interject a comment here and there.

Isa 18:2 which sends envoys by sea in papyrus boats over the water. Go, swift messengers, to a people tall and smooth-skinned, to a people feared far and wide, an aggressive nation of strange speech, whose land is divided by rivers.

Comment: It should be remembered, this will be after the Great Quake of Revelation 6:12, and after many other Earth Shattering events (Rev 7-8). With this in mind it may not be so unreasonable to see something as primitive as "paper boats" carrying the envoys (representatives of the Kingdom) to the people across the seas. No, not literally boats made of paper, or reeds, but boats, or ships of a primative nature as compared to what we have today.

Isa 18:7 At that time gifts will be brought to the LORD (YHWH) Almighty from a people tall and smooth-skinned, from a people feared far and wide, an aggressive nation of strange speech, whose land is divided by rivers-- the gifts will be brought to Mount Zion, the place of the Name of the LORD (YHWH) Almighty.

The Craftsmen?

Zec 1:13 So the LORD spoke kind and comforting words to the angel who talked with me.

Zec 1:14 Then the angel who was speaking to me said, "Proclaim this word: This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'I am very jealous for Jerusalem and Zion,

Zec 1:15 but I am very angry with the nations that feel secure. I was only a little angry, but they added to the calamity.'

Zec 1:16 Therefore, this is what the LORD (YHWH)says: 'I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt. And the measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem,' declares the LORD Almighty.

Zec 1:17 Proclaim further: This is what the LORD (YHWH) Almighty says: 'My towns will again overflow with prosperity, and the LORD will again comfort Zion and choose Jerusalem.'

Zec 1:18 Then I looked up--and there before me were four horns!

Zec 1:19 I asked the angel who was speaking to me, "What are these?" He answered me, "These are the horns that scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem."

Comment: The context (remember Daniel 8 refers to horns as leaders of nations) speaks of four horns, nations, leaders, having been responsible for the scattering of the Jewish people. A modern example of this would be the nation of Germany under Hitler, resulting in the the Jewish people being moved, scattered, to nearly every place on earth, most coming to the USA and after the war to the area of Palestine. The next verse, however, introduces "four Craftsmen", in the following verse but with a different agenda of terrifying those that scatter the people of God, the other four Horns. The reading seems a little difficult and must be read carefully as not to mistake the "four Horns" as the "Craftsmen", for it is the "Craftsmen that "terrify and throw down the four Horns" -- they are not throwing themselves down and by definition they are builders.

Zec 1:20 Then the LORD (YHWH)showed me four craftsmen.craftsmen.

Zec 1:21 I asked, "What are these coming to do?" He answered, "These are the horns that scattered Judah so that no one could raise his head, but the craftsmen have come to terrify them and throw down these horns of the nations who lifted up their horns against the land of Judah to scatter its people."

Comment: Who is it today that is the defender of Israel? The USA, so it seems, is the sole defender of the Nation Israel today, and, it would seem, into the future. The USA could easily fit the profile of "the Craftsmen". When the USA becomes embroiled in world affairs, right or wrong, they rebuild what was destroyed and attempt to rebuild and restore to as good or better than before. Who else does this on the scale of the USA? When a natural disaster strikes, anywhere in the in the world, whois first on the scene with equipment and aide? The USA is truly Craftsmen -- builders on a grand scale.

People from the West?

Isa 24:14 They raise their voices, they shout for joy; from the west they acclaim the LORD's (YHWH's) majesty.

Isa 43:5 Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west.

Isa 59:19 From the west, men will fear the name of the LORD, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere his glory. For he will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the LORD drives along.

Mat 8:11 I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.

Comment: Here we have read of a time past the Resurrection when many will join with the founders of the Faith at the Feast. There are 7 major Feast days, known as Holy Days, or High Day Sabbaths. Yahshua is telling us about a Feast day, a Holy Day, being observed and shared in the Kingdom of Heaven. The following verse, I believe, is speaking to this very thing YaHshua mentions.

Zec 14:16 Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.

People have wondered, some scornfully, about the USA, not being mentioned in the Bible? Rome is mentioned and other Kingdoms but not the USA. We should keep in mind, the USA is a relative new comer in an historical sense, this, of course leads to the speculation the USA may not be a world power when major events begin to unfold. My view is, however, not that the USA is gone or destroyed but rather minimized by the Great Quake of Revelation 6:12, this even being worldwide. Major prophecy always seems to center around the Middle East and as the end man's rule approaches everything seems to pull back to the central focus of our Creator to that region, to the people He has determined to deliver in spite of themselves. Many times when we read statements using the term "earth" could also be translated "land" and in some cases this would identify the "land of Israel" and not the whole earth. You have to let the context of such issues guide you. As in the case of the coming Great Quake it is clearly seen this is a worldwide event. The USA may not be a world power as we see it today and all nations being reduced and attempting recovery the events surrounding the Middle East may become more compacted and dangerous as the major ally of Israel is temporarily moved out of the way.

This is a view we can only speculate about and will not fully see until it happens, then the holes in this speculation will either be filled or understood better, or even discounted. Judge for yourself, keeping His Word supreme, my words mean nothing, His are Truth and Life.
